This series is about the game of Go, a very advanced game even more complex than chess. Of course even if you know nothing about Go, you can still enjoy this series a lot. and what can I say except you have to own this series. I haven't met a single person who didn't love this series, which is a huge testament to how great it is. This series has everything going for it; wonderful characters and lots of heart.
I watched the anime series first, but since that ended prematurely I then read Hikaru no Go. The
manga has such great illustrations, especially towards the end of the series. I've seen some people compare the artwork to that of Death Note, which also has
great artwork; of course that's funny because it is the same artist who did both series!
Hikaru no Go truely is unforgettable and is a must own for all anime/manga fans! I often find myself picking up the graphic novels, opening up to a random page, and suddenly 2 hours have passed because I have just
been completely immersed in the series. It really is amazing how good this series is.

Manga Scan Information
The manga scans you will find on this site are ones created by fans. They are not scanned versions of the licensed English versions. On the topic of licensed manga series, I do host licensed series unlike many sites that take down manga scans when they get licensed. I feel that showcasing the series actually helps in sales. I usually do not host entire series (usually just the beginning or latter volumes) so people tend to purchase the actual graphic novels when they find out how good they are. As for the fansubbed manga scans, they are created by manga scanlation groups. You can get a full list of groups over at Manga Updates. These groups create these fansubs for the fans - I simply distribute them online. Within each series you will certainly see information pertaining to the groups that created the manga scans. Please support the groups by visiting their web site or mIRC channel.
