Sanctuary's story revolves around Akira Hojo and Chiaki Asami, two childhood friends that took opposite paths in life. One joins the gang in Japan, the Yakuza, and the other joins the government. Some say it's "The Godfather" of Japanese manga; we feel that if any manga is going to blow your mind, this series just might be it!

This is it, the seinen series that you've been dying for. It's a series with an amazing story, gorgeous artwork, and captivating characters. Vagabond, simply put, is the greatest samurai manga series ever created. Takehiko Inoue is hands down, in my opinion, the best modern day mangaka.

Suicide Island, originally known as Jisatsutou, is a very entertaining seinen about an island of those who tried to end their own lives but failed initially. The government, instead of allowing them to go free after their failed attempt, banishes them away from their country so it's no longer their issue. Will the people there find a new strength to live?

With the space program attempting to travel to Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its surface. They came up with an efficient and cost effective plan of sending cockroaches and mold to the surface so that the mold would absorb the sunlight and the insect corpses would serve as a food source for the mold. It is now the year 2577 and the first manned ship to Mars has landed on the planet and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they find are giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily wiped out, but not before sending a transmission back to Earth. Now, humanity will send elite warriors to exterminate the mutated bugs and claim back Mars.

The manga scans you will find on this site are ones created by fans. They are not scanned versions of the licensed English versions. On the topic of licensed manga series, I do host licensed series unlike many sites that take down manga scans when they get licensed. I feel that showcasing the series actually helps in sales. I usually do not host entire series (usually just the beginning or latter volumes) so people tend to purchase the actual graphic novels when they find out how good they are. As for the fansubbed manga scans, they are created by manga scanlation groups. You can get a full list of groups over at Manga Updates. These groups create these fansubs for the fans - I simply distribute them online. Within each series you will certainly see information pertaining to the groups that created the manga scans.
