About Fruits Basket

Of all of the anime series I have seen perhaps only a few made as good of an impression as Fruits Basket made on me. There's good reason for that. Fruits Basket is a funny, yet touching, series that deals with things other anime series don't even dare attempt. Love, hatred, relationships - it's all in Fruits Basket. The anime series might have been a bit quirky and leaning towards comedy, but the manga series shows its true colors: dark and emotional. If you're a fan of Fruits Basket anime series you're bound to question that last statement. But take it from me that it's the truth. When you delve deeper into Fruits Basket you'll realize how deep the series gets and you will be absolutely hooked.

Fruits Basket has been licensed by Tokyo Pop. You're a bit late supporting the English version as TokyoPop is now defunct. Why did you wait so long?! Just kidding. Just remember it's important to physically own these books so please support manga graphic novels.

Fruits Basket has been licensed by Tokyo Pop. Unlike most manga series I have read, Fruits Basket is actually really long! I typically can only read one chapter before dosing off before bed, which says to me that Fruits Basket manga is very content rich. You don't get a bunch of empty panels or "action scenes" with no words. Nope, you get bubble after bubble of dialogue.

Did my silly introduction of supporting the official release not convince you in purchasing Fruits Basket? The reason I don't try as hard trying to convince people to support the English version of Fruits Basket is because to me it is so obvious. Fruits Basket has it all and one of the most memorable stories ever. The bottom line is that Fruits Basket is better than 99% of series out there. Yes that's a bold statement and simply my opinion, but I will stick by it. I've read countless series, watched a ton of anime, and the only series I like more than Fruits Basket is Berserk. I highly regard Fruits Basket as one of the premier series out there that must be seen/owned by every anime fan.

Manga Scan Information

The manga scans you will find on this site are ones created by fans. They are not scanned versions of the licensed English versions. On the topic of licensed manga series, I do host licensed series unlike many sites that take down manga scans when they get licensed. I feel that showcasing the series actually helps in sales. I usually do not host entire series (usually just the beginning or latter volumes) so people tend to purchase the actual graphic novels when they find out how good they are. As for the fansubbed manga scans, they are created by manga scanlation groups. You can get a full list of groups over at Manga Updates. These groups create these fansubs for the fans - I simply distribute them online. Within each series you will certainly see information pertaining to the groups that created the manga scans.
